Alternative Management Systems was founded in 1989 to serve the specialized segment of community association management represented by the small and medium sized associations. At this time the portfolio includes 29 Associations ranging in size from 4 to 98 units, and includes condominiums, townhome associations, and planned unit developments. Properties are located in Oak Lawn, Uptown, Vickery Creek, the Hillcrest/Preston/LBJ/Spring Valley area of north Dallas, and Richardson (Arapaho and Central).
The owner and president of AMS is Meg Rohrt. Her experience includes 25+ years within the industry, with complexes ranging in size from 4 units up to 200. She is the recipient of the Professional Community Association Management (PCAM) designation, of which there are approximately 1,700 in the country. She is a member of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of Community Association Institute (CAI), the professional organization for community association management, having served on several different local and national committees, been the local newsletter and programming chair and on the Board of Directors. She is a past president of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of CAI.
